1 month into Linux

No real major updates since the last post, I've got just about everything setup the same as I did a month ago. I experimented with Gnome for a hot second, but didn't vibe with it and uninstalled it immediately after.

I'm super happy that one of my biggest annoyances with KDE Plasma, the fact that hovering over the categories in the application launcher/start menu would automatically open them, got changed so now you need to actually click them to change them. Exact behavior I wanted from it, super duper happy they fixed it. Was getting close to the point of trying to figure out how to compile KDE widgets myself to change that behavior

But yeah, KDE Plasma and Fedora have been rock solid for me. I've had some minor weirdisms here and there, but nothing a restart couldn't fix. Most of my issues at the start were more down to me misconfiguring the UEFI than anything to do with the Linux install

My experience moving to Linux this past month has been incredibly pleasant. I have not even the slightest bit of desire to switch back to using Windows as my main OS.

Linux is just kinda right for the way I use my PC. Windows simply gets in the way in so many ways that Linux just... doesn't. I feel for once like I'm not needing to fight my computer, and I just feel this sense of relief.

With Windows, it felt like every time I turned it on, there'd be some new bit of bullshit Microsoft was trying to push onto me that I'd need to find registry tweaks and commands and third party software to disable. And it was just... exhausting.
